My Chilli plants haven't even germinated yet, probably too cool and damp here. I have a few in the aerogarden they were only started last week.
1 tsp dried Oregano 5 Garlic Cloves cut in half lengthwise 2 tbsp red hot chili (remember gloves) 9fl. ozs of Rapeseed Oil
It is up to you regarding the chilli seeds, you may want to remove them on your first batch. Chop the Chilli flesh into small pieces. Put oregano, chilli and garlic in a heat proof dish with the oil and heat in an oven at 120 deg C or 250 deg F for about 2 hours.
Remove from the oven, cool then strain through muslin into a clean, sterilised container. Store in the fridge. If this oil is not hot enough, next time leave the seeds in and instead of straining immediately leave in the fridge until you want to use it, then strain. If I'm making this for someone else I put a few long slivers of chilli and a few peppercorns in to the bottle, just to make it look pretty, it probably adds to the flavour as well.
Try mixing it with Creme Fraiche for the faint of heart.
