You should get 8 fish cakes from this recipe
you will need:
650g potatoes peeled and cooked 225g broad beans blanched then double podded then cooked for approx 5 Min's. 900g firm white fish (I use haddock), but you could use smoked, but not dyed haddock, or salmon. Tub of Creme fraiche with a little chilli sauce.
Cook the fish until just cooked, drain and cool, then flake into large pieces, removing skin and bones. Mash the beans and potatoes together (I prefer them crushed together, a little rustic) then fold in the flaked fish.
Shape the mixture into eight cakes. Dust with flour and fry in a little olive oil and a knob of butter, they will take about 4 minutes on each side.
Serve with a dollop of the flavoured creme fraiche.
