This is for Pat who wanted cabbage rolls with hamburg and rice. I also want to say I love your newsletters and am thrilled with the E-books......have downloaded abunch......thanks so much. Linda
CABBAGE ROLLS
one egg 1 tsp. salt one tsp. worchestershire sauce 1/4 cup onion tomatoe soup 2/3 cup milk 1 pound hamburg 1/2 pound ground pork 3/4 cup cooked rice 1 tablespoon brown sugar 6 cabbage leaves 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Combine the egg, salt , worchestershire sauce, onion and milk. Add meat and rice together with this. Boil cabbage 3 minutes. Place 1/2 cup meat mixture on leaf, fold in sides and roll over the meat.Place in 12 x8 x 1 1/4 inch pan. Blend rest of ingredients, and pour over rolls. Bake 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hrs. Bast several times with sauce. OR: layer the leaves <like lazagna> and then layer the meat and rice and then another layer of leaves, etc. Then add the sauce over top.
