I am constantly searching for healthier substitutes. My DH adds salt to everything even before he even tastes the dish. I think it's a man thing! Powdered lemon rind is hard to find here in Scotland, when you do find it, it is expensive.
Salt Substitute
2 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp basil 1 tsp dillweed 1 tsp oregano 1 tsp powdered lemon rind
Blend well. Store in glass salt shaker. Add a few grains of rice to prevent moisture caking.
