This is an easy and low-fat dessert. The basil works really well with peaches.
Warm Peaches with Basil and Honey
Knob of butter 1 ripe peach or nectarine, stoned and thickly sliced 1 Tbsp clear honey juice of 1/2 orange 4-5 fresh basil leaves, shredded Vanilla or white chocolate ice cream to serve
Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the peach or nectarine slices, then cook on both sides until slightly softened (about 3 minutes) Add the honey and stir to make a sauce, then pour in the orange juice and allow to bubble briefly. Stir in the basil and serve with scoops of ice cream.
