Hi there Sylvia. My husband has been drooling about Irish delicacies lately (his tastebuds were caught by a cooking show online). And I'm just in luck that you shared some links of various Irish meal recipes! I was thinking of editing some of the ingredients used and throw in some healthier alternatives but it might spoil the "Irish" touch to it. What do you think?

Hi Kitchenblitz,
Anything that has the "healthy" twist is reaaal gooood. The only thing that I would draw the line at, is Irish Soda Bread, there has been a lot of changes over the years, but the true old fashioned recipe is the best. My youngest son's girlfriend is Southern Irish; they are both into marathons, snowboarding etc and are just 2 years older than you. They eat healthily, lots of pastas, but Val enjoys her Irish grub with her little added healthy tweaks.
We Scots are always insisting that our wild salmon is far better than the Irish salmon and of course vice-a-versa, I have to admit, I've never tasted Irish salmon.
So go for it! Happy and healthy cooking!
