Hi Jmm
I have always had the same problem and still fight with it, there were so meany do's. and Don'ts that it drove me nut's. Not too mention how do feed my family with out putting them on the roller coaster I was on.
Well for me, I just had to say good by to the what can I eat what cant I eat and just eat what I want .
But, theirs always a but Lol.
But I eat only what is considered a serving size on the Food products I buy, and what my calorie book say's is a serving size.
I did that for a while and then I started to what the amount of calorie and know
I am down 25- 28 pound.
I don't know if this will work for you but it sure did help me learn how to portion my food intake and reduce the room in my tummy.

One thing that really helps me is to plan ahead. Decide what you are going to cook in advance. Plan the menu and have the ingredients ready. When I hurry or am tired I will grab anything even if it isn't good for me. Planning has helped a great deal. I have most of the Weight Watcher Cookbooks. They have wonderful recipes in them. I choose a recipe and plan around that recipe. When I am at work all day the crockpot recipes are great.

Yes Me to Planing ahead really helps me to. But I cant always afford all the ingredients in some recipes or the suggested snacks. so I have to make my menus and my own recipes, using what I have on hand. I have a cooking program called Healthy Cooking Plus, I type in the ingredient and it calculates the calories, nutritional values and etc. I picked up the program at a yard sale, the package had not even been opened. I think I pay $1.25 for it 2 years ago. Also I have another program called Master Cook. both of these programs really has help me plan and make what I can afford. This helps me keep my calories intake not over 1500 or under 1200

April, would you have the name of the software? the one who calculates your intake.
I too find that most recipes are much too expensiveto have everyday so I think that that software might help a lot.
If you have more information on such software, I would love to have it.
Thank you
Micheline

How do I know what the points are? A: Here's the online version of ww 123 success plan (Food Companion) This is how you can tell what points you're eating. The Food ocmpanion is helpful for looking up points on food items. www.angelfire.com/va/toni/A.html Some of our members also have the recipe computer storing program called MasterCook but, I'm not one of those. That program can tell you how many points a recipe is by plugging in the recipe. it also calculates your calories. You can also try substitutions of lower calorie foods to get it within the range you're looking for. MasterCook is sold in places like Walmart or Target.
