I have had this recipe for over 37 years and have made it many times.
Barndt's Salisbury Steak
1 lbs. ground beef 1/2 to 2/3 cup bread crumbs or crushed saltine crackers 1 egg 2 tablespoons catsup 2 tablespoons water 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 to 1/3 cup flour 1 can Mushroom soup 1/3 to 1/2 can milk
Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, catsup, water, Worchestershire sauce, chopped onion, pepper and salt. Mix well and shape as patties or any shape you like. With the patties lightly bread with flour. Have your skillet medium hot with a little olive and regular oil and brown the patties. After browning lover temperature to simmer mix soup and milk and pour over patties and let cook until done. You have have a gravy to pour over the patties. I have mash potatoes and a salad with this meal.
