1½ cups light brown sugar 1/3 cup milk (2% is fine) ¼ cup butter or margarine pinch of salt 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels, remove wrappers 1½ cups coarsely chopped pecans
Bring first four ingredients to a boil. Stir occasionally over medium heat. Let boil gently for five minutes, stirring occasionally. Add caramels. Stir till melted and smooth. Stir in pecans. Turn into a buttered 8 x 8" pan.
(Pan can be foil lined and buttered.) Let stand in cool, dry place till firm.
Cut and enjoy! Makes 36 pieces.
