Hi,
I would like to buy a food processor for my wife. I was told that it should have as much as possible in it: juice extractor, meat grinder, mixer, blender, chopper, etc etc. And it has to be powerful too!
Could anybody out there give me any advice?
Thanks a lot,
Alex

Hello and welcome to Nancy's Kitchen!
I went to all the topics within the food processor section and found quite a bit of information to help you. Just click on the item below your posting. Perhaps if you go to one or 2 of the sites for food processors, you could find your answer about the power. I did see that for stand mixers you want anywhere from 350 watts and above for power and reliability. Maybe this will help.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your reply!
Sorry, I could not understand what you meant when you said `click on the item below your posting'. Could you clarify what you mean by this?
I must say that I went to a number of sites concerning food processors, but could not find any which would combine all the features I want. There are quite a few such food processors in Europe but apparently they are not available in the US (which where I am).
Thanks again,
Alex

Hello!
I meant that besides your question on food processors, there are 3 to 4 other messages within the food processor section. When you look at the top of this page you will see Food Processors and the names of the 2 moderators. Click on that. After you get to that page, look below your posting. There are more!! Click on any or all of the topics (one at a time). You will be taken to another page and you can see what else is in this section. Good luck!!!

Hi Chris,
I did, but I am afraid I could not find what I was looking for. Again, it seems that for some reason those most universal food processors with all the features are just not available (please, please correct me if I am wrong).
Regards,
Alex

Hi again!
I don't know for sure. I know they are out there, but don't know where. Have you tried the Oster site or one of the others? Maybe Kitchenaid?

Before you go out and buy a food processor take a moment and jot down on paper what you want this machine to do . From the sounds of it (my intererpation) is you are looking for an all in one thing. Well my husband bought me an OSTER KITCHEN CENTER over 20 years ago, and I still have it and works just great. I can crush ice, juice, blender, meat grinder, sausage stuffer, and more all the bells and whistles. But I do not use some of the attachments. I love it but it is not the kind of food processor with the blade inside to chop and mix. Phone your buddies wives and see what they have and how they like it .Good luck in your purchase and do come back and let us know what you bought and how the wife likes it. Lynn
