Soul_Food_Soulfood_and_Southern_Cooking@yahoogroups.com From: Kattelyn Date: 8 Dec 2003 Maple Spice Baked Ham *Chef's note* I ALWAYS double this recipe with a nice smoked picnic ham. They taste so much better than those little boneless things, then you'll have plenty of leftovers for sandwiches, soups, and whatever you need them for. 4 pounds boneless ham, ( or smoked, bone-in ham) 1/2 cup Apple Juice 1/4 cup maple syrup 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F.
Place ham in a 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Sauce In a medium bowl, combine apple juice, maple syrup, nutmeg, dry mustard and cloves. Mix well then pour over ham. Cover loosely with foil and bake until thermometer reads 160°F.
