1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa 1/2 cup of boiling water 4 tablespoons of ( 1/2 stick) melted butter 1 cup of granulated sugar 1/3 cup of cornstarch 1/4 teaspoon salt 3 cups of warmed milk 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 baked pie shells < i use the gramcracker shells> whipped cream for topping stir the cococa into the boiling water until it's a smooth paste .stir about 3 tablespoons of melted butter into the cocoa mixture combine the sugar ,cornstarch and salt in a 2 quart saucepan ,slowly add the the warm milk and stir until blended add the cocoa mixture and beaten egg cook over medium-low heat stir ing constantly unitl thick but not boiling remove from heat and add the rest of the melted butter and vanilla pour into the shells when cool add the whipped cream for a extra touch add shaved chocolate after you add the whipped cream ,
