I have just bought a new modern electric pressure cooker. Reason - fuel prices are going through the roof*. I had a large pack of braising beef in the freezer and unusually all the ingredients for this recipe - didn't tweak it at all - did use chunks of home made bread to mop up the last of the delicious sauce.
Next time I will up the quantities and freeze some. Don't know about you but recipes with tomatoes in them, taste even better after being frozen.
If you have invested in one of the new quiet pressure cookers. with no cringe element, and have a new recipe - please share it.

*For all the Folks who are suffering from terribly high temps this would be ideal for supplying the family meals without the heat from normal kitchen appliances

Hi Lynn, you must have had a late night if I've got the time thing correct - think I must be about seven hours ahead of you.
After I clicked on to reply it occurred to me if you have an industrial type cooker you probably won't use this feature anyway as it will be too heavy. I had a pressure cooker about 30 years ago it was good, but as each consecutive lad flew the nest the big pot became superfluous and started to use it for soups, jams and jellies and eventually it was turfed. That old relic could be quickly de-pressurised by dipping it in cold water or even running cold water over it, avoiding the pressure valve of course. You obviously can't do this with the new electric ones. There is a way other than just letting it de-pressure on own, but as I am continually advising DH - I must read the instructions.
Keep me updated - all your wonderful recipes timings may have to change.
Kind regards to Fred Sylvia446

THANKS for your help. Sandy 417
