Watergate cake 1 package white or yellow cake mix 1 (3 1/2-ounce) box pistachio instant pudding mix 3 eggs 1 cup vegetable oil 1 cup club soda or citrus-flavored soft drink 1/2 cup nuts, chopped Forfrosting 1 cup cold milk 1 (3 1/2-ounce) package pistachio instant pudding mix 1 8-ounce tub Cool Whip Blend all cake ingredients except nuts and beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Add nuts and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan and bake at 350 degrees 50-55 minutes until done. Cool on a wire rack, then split into three layers. Spread about 1 cup frosting between layers and spoon rest of frosting in center of cake. Chill and garnish with chopped nuts, if desired. Or pour cake mix into a greased and floured 9-by-13-inch cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool. Top with frosting.
