WAFFLE and PANCAKE BATTER
1C Sour Cream (Substitute=1C whole milk + 2oz vinegar) 3/4 tsp Baking Soda 1C Flour 1/4 tsp Salt 1 Egg Yolk....seperated and white set aside 1 TBSP Melted Butter 1 Egg White....beaten stiff
Thoroughly mix ingredients in order given. Pre-heat waffle iron to Med/High. Pour or spoon batter in center of iron....allowing it to flow to cover approx 3/4 the surface. Bake 3 to 4 mins....or until steaming stops.
Serves 4....more or less.
These are the waffles that I make for a Chicken or Turkey dinner.
For PANCAKES, use Buttermilk or Whole Milk (without the vinegar).
You can refrigerate or freeze any leftover Waffles....seperating the sections for individual servings.
Can be reheated in toaster or Microwave and served with butter and jelly.
