Even though I love cooking and just LOVE eating it ;D there are a few recipes I am loathe to make. My first husband loved sweet curries and chicken marengo, spaghetti bolognaise and lasagne and wanted them quite frequently, needless to say I soon developed a dislike of all 4 dishes. As they say "a little is a good thing." I rarely make spag bol or lasagne now and with a daughter and three grand children who are lovers of both I somehow I feel obligated to make them ... but not too often lest they become too used to it

I can't really think of anything that I dislike to make.
BUT I hate having to do the dishes and clean the kitchen up afterwards!!

Robyn,
You hit the nail on the head.
I HATE the clean up. Love to bake but I get flower allllllllll over the place.
Yikes! Wouldn't it be nice to have someone come in and clean up after us.

I am like you guys, I hate the clean up part. What a drag. What I don't understand though, is when someone else cooks in the kitchen, I still end up with the clean up part. That is not fair Anyone else has to do the clean up even after their spouse/children when they do the cooking? Micheline

YES!! It doesn't matter who makes the mess. I always have to clean up after them. Even when I ask them to clean it and they do. I still have to finish it. Clean to them and Clean to me are two different things!! Robyn

I love cooking but the cleaning up isn't the fun part.

My hubby likes baked 'smoked alaska black cod' every once in awhile. I can barely get over the smell! When I do cook it for him for a special treat, I make sure I eat early (something else) and that I have a meeting or something to go to. Yukky Pooh!

Hello Girls! I, too, end up cleaning up after anyone in "MY" kitchen! Ah well, at least things are back where I can find them later! How about you?
My hubby likes salmon (I don't), liver and onions (NEVER!) and a few other items. He will fix them for himself whenever I am working late or go to visit my Dad or Son in Denver & Colorado Springs. Can't even stomach the smell of them cooking!

There's not too much I dislike cooking. In fact I can't think of anything. However I do have disaster days for some reason, days where everything I touch seems to go all blah and nothing turns out no matter what.....anyone else have days like that? Cleanup is not a problem in my house, my husband is more than happy to do that. After living on his own for 18 years he is just happy to have someone to cook for him, and to be eating stuff that doesn't come out of a can. ;D
