Crockpot Steak San Marco 2 pounds stewing beef, cubed, trimmed of excess fat 1 envelope dry onion soup mix 29 ounce can peeled tomatoes, cut up 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed garlic powder to taste pepper to taste 2 Tablespoons oil (optional) 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar Layer meat evenly in bottom of crockpot. Combine remaining ingredients, blend well. Pour over meat. Cover. Cook on High 6 hours, or Low 8 - 10 hours. Makes 4 to 6 servings. Serve over pasta. Broccoli makes a nice vegetable dish with this meal.
