The Coca Cola is not an overpowering taste. This makes a lot, and stays for up to 3 weeks.
Ingredients: 12 oz. sharp cheddar cheese 4 oz. Roquefort cheese* 1 clove garlic 3/4 C. Coca-Cola 2 Tbsp. soft margarine 1 Tbsp. grated onion 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. mustard 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. hot-pepper sauce
Preparation: *or blue cheese of choice
Grate cheddar into large mixing bowl. Add crumbled Roquefort. Put garlic through a press; add to cheeses with 1/2 cup of the cola. Add margarine, onion, Worcestershire, dry mustard, salt, and pepper sauce. Beat at low speed until blended. Gradually add remaining Coke; beat on high until fairly smooth and light. Pack in a covered container. Chill a few hours or overnight. Dip keeps well for a week or more. Makes about three cups.
