Hi April, It sounds like you are looking for an Ambrosia recipe. I hope this helps. It is a recipe created by Dole. There are many variations of this recipe. You might like to try doing a search for Heavenly Ambrosia Salad to see if there are other recipes that seem to be closer to what your mom made. Welcome to the board and Happy Thanksgiving. -Shortcake HEAVENLY AMBROSIA Source: Favorite Brand Name Recipe Cookbook By The Editors of Comsumer Guide (1981) 2 firm medium DOLE bananas, peeled and sliced 1 can (approximately 8 1/4 ounces) DOLE Crushed Pineapple in Syrup, well drained 1 cup miniature marshmallows 1 cup toasted coconut, (divided use) 1 cup seedless grapes 1/2 cup broken walnuts 1/2 cup whipping cream 1 Tablespoon lime juice 2 teaspoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon grated lime peel 1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained Combine bananas, pineapple, marshmallows, 1/2 cup coconut, grapes, and walnuts in a bowl.
