1 gal.blackberries 3 qt.water 4-5 cups sugar
Boil blackberries,sugar and water until starts to thicken slightly, about 1 to 11/2 hrs. on Med. heat.
Dumplings:
11/2 c.self rising flour 3 tbsp.melted margarine or butter 3/4 cup milk 2 eggs,beaten 2 Tbsp.sugar
Stir Flour,milk.sugar,margarine or butter and eggs until well beaten. Drop by teaspoon fulls into hot boiling liquid. Turn dumplings once when cooked continue to cook until all dumplings are cooked. If mixture becomes to thick,add water and boil until liquid becomes hot again.
