Dog Biscuits
Yield: 24 servings
3/4 c Hot water or meat juices
1/3 c Margarine
1/2 c Powdered milk
1/2 ts Salt
2 ts Sugar
1 Egg; beaten
3 c Whole wheat flour
Pour hot water or juice over margarine. Add powdered milk, salt, sugar, and egg. Gradually add flour, about 1/2 C. at a time till you have a stiff dough. Knead 3-4 minutes. Roll out 1/2" thick and cut into shapes. Bake in 325 degree oven for 50 minutes. P.S. I use a food processor with plastic blade.
Peanut Butter Treats - for Dogs (and People)
Yield: 30 servings
3 c Whole wheat flour
1/2 c Rolled oats
2 ts Baking powder
1 1/2 c Milk
1 1/4 c Peanut butter
1 tb Molasses
Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine flour, oats and baking powder in a large bowl. Mix the milk, peanut butter and molasses until smooth, add to dry ingredients. Knead dough with hands, it will be stiff. Roll out to 1/4" thick and cut into shapes. Bake for 20 min. or until lightly browned. Turn off oven and leave in oven until cool. Store in airtight container.
Kitty Taco
1/2 Pound ground beef
1/2 Cup onion, chopped fine
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tblspoon tomatoe paste
1 tspoon corn oil
1 corn tortilla, cut into kitty-bite-size pieces
1/2 tspoon bone meal
1/2 tspoon brewers' yeast
1/2 tspoon iodized salt
2 tblspoon cheddar cheese, grated
Heat skillet and start browning ground beef. When meat is half cooked add onion, bell pepper, and garlic, and cook the mixture until onions are translucent and the meat golden brown. On low heat, stir tomatoe paste, corn oil, chopped tortilla, bone meal, brewers' yeast and salt. Stir until heated through. Cool and serve topped with grated cheese. Yields 2-3 servings.
Store unused portions in an airtight container and keep refrigerated. This may be fed to your cat once or twice a week.
TIP
Mixing 1 teaspoon of mineral oil with your cat's food once or twice a week will help prevent hair balls and constipation!
Cat Cookies

1/4 c Soy flour
1 ts Catnip *
1 Egg
1/3 c Milk
2 tb Wheat germ
1/3 c Powdered milk
1 tb unsulfurated molasses
2 tb Butter or vegetable oil
* Catnip Strong scent pleases cats. Add to toys, or just sprinkle for them to roll and play in, and even eat. Catnip aids digestion.
Preheat oven to 350F. Mix dry ingredients together. Add molasses, egg, oil and milk. Roll out flat onto oiled cookie sheet and cut into small, cat bite-sized pieces. Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool and store in tightly sealed container.
