Just stumbled onto your great resource - thanks for putting this all in one place for us to find. I'm not much of a cook but I like to try new things (new to me, at least) and my hubby is willing to eat just about anything once . I like collecting cookbooks (and dearly regret having given away a couple of boxes of them when we moved to a smaller house - now I miss the ones I no longer have !) And I'm always happy to find another message board to become addicted to. ;D

Hi Jyl and welcome to Nancy's message boards. We are all here to help each other out. I can practically guarantee that if you have a question or want a recipe for something, the answer will be here for you, if not someone will find it for you. You will find quite a bit of humour too, which can give you a lift when you need it most. I hope you have many hours, yes I said hours, reading through the boards and newsletters.
What on earth possessed you to part with boxes of cookery books? My DH hopes that I might just do that one of these days. Fat chance.
Do you have to be a home tutor to join your other group?

A moment of ruthless decluttering? Didn't really do any good because I've just filled the bookshelves with newer cookbooks anyway...but I like the old cookery books the best (and will likely end up purchasing another copy of some of them if I see them sometime ;D) edit: deleted info per Chris' request

Jyl, I think you'll find that Nancy will promote most things (within reason) if it results in pulling people together.
I'm not sure what Canucks are? I'll have to google that one.
I have ran out of book shelves, but still have a bit of space under the beds in the spare bedrooms
I like your little smiley thingies, first time I've seen these particular ones.

Sylvia446,
Canucks are a slang term for us Canadians. It is also the name of the Vancouver Canucks Hockey Team.

Hi Redneckalbertagirl
Canucks - Is the nucks part pronounced as in ducks or as in looks?
Sorry, but I have never heard of this before. Another of the benefits of the newsletter.
