I want to make Lynda's Granny Bread, which was posted on 9/26/09, in my bread machine. Do I cut the recipe in half for 1 loaf?? Or do I use it as posted? Thanks, it sounds delicious.

Hi 8grammies.
I've checked out Saturday's newsletter and found the recipe you were referring to. It's difficult to answer your query without knowing what capacity your Bread Machine is, but if it is a 2lb capacity machine it should work.
There is an alternative that you may want to try and that is to let your machine do the mixing and kneading - my machine a Panasonic, the pizza programme does dough only. If there isn't a dough programme, you could stop the machine before it starts the baking process. Then divide the dough and mould to the shape you want, leave to rise and then bake.
Finally, check out the Bread Machine Message Board recipes, just to get comparisons.
I wish you good luck, happy baking.
Sylvia
