Hi Nancy,
I find it hard to stay on WW, too. I am wondering how people on this message board can help each other if we don't have each other's email addresses. Sometimes I forget to go to the message boards, and it would be nice to get emails with encouragements.

This is for all the WW who want a buddy for encouragement. I am posting my email address and welcome all who want to correspond via email, as I think this would be more helpful.
Looking forward to your email.

Hi Ladies, I just joined this group and would like to say hello! My name is Tonya and I am from Texas. I love good, fast easy recipes.....so what's for dinner? I also need to lose weight and so I guess I am looking for some diet buddies also. Would love to hear from others who are struggling with a weight problem. I do not belong to WW right now but was a member years ago. I hear they have a brand new program with this point system. Would like to know more about it. Thank you and take care. ~Smiles~Tonya

Nancy, Tonya and all the rest.
I am here! Just holler! We really don't need private emails posted. We can go to the private message area and leave each other messages. That seems to help very much. We do have more than members viewing this Board, and that is why we don't post our emails. We could give our email addy to another member who requests is via the private message. Perhaps that might be the best way? Any other ideas other than posting emails for anyone to get?

Well, Chris, I did post my email address and am sorry if this doesn't meet with your approval. I didn't realize it was a "no no" to post email addresses.

It is not a no no to post your private address, but it is not advisable to do that as you could get mails from people you really do not want, and lots of junk/spam mail. We all get enough of that already. It is just a precaution for your own safety. As Chris said, people can send you a private message just by clicking on your name, then clicking the send this member a private message. It would be much better if you give your address out privately. Have a great day. Linda

Thanks, Linda!
You went on to say how to send a private message where I didn't. Oops! My goof!
Take care!

Sorry gals for posting my email addy. You know as soon as I did, I knew it was not the right thing to do. Is there a way of deleting it off that post? If so please do that for me. I have not read how to post private messages yet...but I will do that. Would love to share recipes and tips to help us all get more healthy. The hubby and got up and tllk a walk this morning. It felt super good. We saw the buds coming out on the trees, so Spring is just around the corner. A new beginning! Let's all get more healthy together. Have a good day y'all. ~Smiles~Tonya from Texas

::)I would love to be your diet buddy. I just started with WW online, as there are no local meetings in my area. I've only been on WW for 1 1/2 weeks, so no great successes yet. Lost 5 lbs my first week, starting to get cravings now, like no other. So I need H E L P!!! ;D

I have had to stop buy diet desserts. One problem is when I go out and buy something like Skinnycow desserts instead of eating one and it only counting 2 points I eat the whole package. They must be related to potato chips or something. You know the kind they advertise that you can't just eat one.
Another problem I have is I love good food. Good Mexican food, Italian food, and Chinese food. I am a recreational eater.

Nancy, I have the same problem with Skinny Cows. I am definitely hooked on these ice cream sandwiches. I may have to just stop buying them. Even though I don't eat the whole package, I do eat half the package, which is three, in one day's time. These may be slowing down my weight loss.

Yesterday I did well on the diet. No temptations. ( I have had a cold an nothing tasted good and that probably helped.) In the past few weeks it has been increasingly more difficult to stay on the diet.
I had to quit buying skinny cows too. They kept calling my name wanting everytime I passed by the freezer. There are just some things that I have to stay away from because I will eat too much of them. That includes the Smartones Desserts. I love the taste of them but can't stop with one.
When I have a sweet tooth I make jello
1 small package sugar-free jello 1 small carton fat-free yogurt 8 ounces hot water
Dissolve jello in water. Mix in yogurt with whisk.
Favorites are lemon jello + lemon yogurt lemon jello + key lime yogurt lemon jello + peach yogurt but any combination works. I find blueberry tastes good but doesn't look very good when it is ready to eat because of the coloring of blueberry yogurt.

Skinny Cows huh? Well, know what I am shopping for today! Thanks for posting the jello recipe, that does sound good to me. Anything to help the sweet tooth. I have a problem with my hubby bringing all the goodies into the house. It is as if he wants to keep me fat! Anyone else have that problem? Keep the recipes and tips coming gals. Hope all are well and happy! Have a good day. ~Smiles~Tonya

I think the whole problem is we call it dieting. I do so much better if I don't say the "d" word.

Thanks, Nancy, for the hint about the jello when you have a sweet tooth, which is all the time for me. I make the yogurt pies a lot, and that keeps me out of the Skinny Cows somewhat. Seems I can eat one slice of the Key Lime Pie or other flavor of the yogurt pie and be satisfied whereas I can't stop with one Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich.

Hello everyone! I am a 35-year-old mother of two who is struggling to get my post-baby weight off. I've been following the WW 1-2-3 program for about 10 months and have lost over 40 pounds. ;D I still have another 30 to go, though. I don't have a sweet tooth but my diabetic husband sure does. However, that doesn't mean I don't struggle with the "no-no" foods! Imagine how many calories and fat grams are on a big ol' plate of nachos...! Then there is always that "week before" where I want chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! (Truly the only time I have a "sweet tooth".) Another problem I have...I cannot get my lazy butt to exercise! That is my problem area right there. I have exercise tapes, hand weights, books...all of which are collecting dust. Any ideas on how I can get some motivation to exercise? I am patiently waiting for spring but living in Minnesota I only have 2 months of warm weather to go walking in!! I chase my 4 and 1 year old sons around constantly...isn't that considered exercising? I just wanted to say that I do not consider myself to be on a "diet". The Weight Watchers program is one that teaches you how to eat healthy. What I am doing is re-training my eating habits. Let's face it...if you lose weight and go back to bad eating habits, the pounds will only find your stomach, hips, thighs, and butt all over again. I need help getting off my lazy butt!!!

I hope I am doing this right. I also would like a diet buddy. I am retired, disabled due to health problems that I know would improve if I lost the weight. I am 61, retired LPN, greatgrandma of one. I volunteer two am's a week and have for eight years. I know what I should eat, it is a matter of food portions , sometimes having the money to have the right foods on hand, and having a variety of food to make 'diet' interesting.

Hi Knitter Remember me Perfecto You are doing it just fine. You can even send private messages to me now. all you have to do is were you see my name on the left, click on my name and it will take you a window similar looking to this one and just type in what you would like to say and then clicl on post. it will send it to me and no one else will be able to see the message.. once you move around and click on everything you see you will get the hang of it quickly. I understand about the coast and portion control I have posted in this group (weight watcher and diet buddies) a section with Food group and serving size list. This might help in figuring out your food portions

:-*I'm on WW and my favorite thing for my sweet tooth is Jello Sugar Free Fat Free Pudding Instant mix. I mix it with skim milk and pour it in custard cups that hold 1/2 cup. I put a Tablespoon off Fat Free Cool Whip on and it is very filling and only 1 1/2 points. I put coffee and skim milk in the chocolate to make a mocha pudding. I would like a Buddie, too.

Hello!
All you need to do is private message one of us on the Board. The instructions are in the section 2 - 3 above this one. I believe it is "problems, etc." We will be glad to private message or email back and forth for any diet question and for diet help!
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all were born and stay slim and trim all our lives?? So boring, though. More fun this way. This way we can make new friends!
Chris
