Do not starve yourself!!!
Doing so only slows down your metabolism.
Exercise...Find an exercise regimen that's right for you. Remember walking is one of the best exercises.
Water exercise is also great for everyone, especially those with arthritis.
Water exercise is great because it allows you to exercise without putting stress on your bones.
Drink...Drink...then Drink some more!!!
Be sure to drink at least eight 8oz glasses of water a day.
Water is so beneficial to your body in so many ways.
So Drink to your health!!!
Find a friend... Dieting is hard, let's face it, but if you can find a friend to diet with it really helps.
Make a grocery list, before you go to the grocery store... Don't forget to take it with you!!!
Stick to your list and it will help your diet as well as your budget.
Don't go grocery shopping hungry!!!
Need I say more???
Don't say diet!!!
Diet really is a four letter word.
You are just trading in your old bad eating habits for new good ones.
Write it down!!!
Write down everything you eat, you would be surprised what you won't eat if you have to write it down!!!
Weight doesn't matter!!!
Yeap, that's right !!!
Work on how your clothes fit and how you feel, not what the scale reads
Be positive!!!
Always try to have a positive attitude.
The weight didn't magically appear, so don't expect it to magically disappear...
BE PATIENT
Eat until you are satisfied, not until you are stuffed!!!
Try 10 Fruits & Vegetables A Day
Fruits and veggies are not only jam packed with disease fighting nutrients, but they are low calorie/low density foods that help you feel satisfied faster while controlling calorie intake and curbing overeating.
10 servings a day may sound like a lot but it adds up easily if you add two servings to three meals and two snacks.
For example:
1 c of berries with your breakfast, 1 apple with your mid-morning snack, 1 c dark leafy greens w/ tomatoes and 1 orange with your lunch, 1 c carrots with your afternoon snack, ½ c steamed veggies and 1 banana with dinner.
Just try it for one day and see how much less junk and processed food you have room for.
