8 tbsp butter, (room temp) 1 cup granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, 1 tbsp grated orange peel, 2 cup flour, 1tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup sour cream,
set oven to 350. spray non-stick oil in 9x5x3 loaf pan.
With an electric mixer beat butter and sugar on medium-high speed 5-7 minutes, until light in color. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add orange peel. Mix in baking soda and powder followed by the salt. With mixer on low add 1/2 cup flour without waiting for it to mix add 1/3 of sour cream. Repeat with remaining flour and sour cream ending with flour. Mix until blended. spread in pan. bake 55-65 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. My oven it took about 75 minutes.
squeeze the juice from the left over orange. add confectioner's sugar --just enough to make a frostening glaze. frost top of loaf for glaze topping.
