Hi April!
Sorry to be so long in answering. Yes, we had a good time on Christmas, however we did not spend it together. We spent Christmas Eve with some other friends/neighbors, and Christmas Day with several friends who - llike us - do not have family down here.
My friend, Dixie, was very pleased to know that you like her recipes so much! Also ----- I did find some more venison recipes and will post them tomorrow!
Hope you and yours had a very merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris

Hello Chris No problem we're all been so busy with the holidays and now New Years is coming up I hope you all have a happy New Year!! I am very much looking forward to checking out the new venison recipes Last week I made a meat loaf. I used ground Venison and sausage, instead of ground chuck... My hubby really liked it . I'll try to get the recipe wrote out by tomorrow. one of my problems is that I don't measure anything. but my husband has requested that I make it tonight for him so this time I'll try to measure as I add the ingredients.... Good Bless Take care Your friend April B

Hi April! I found the meat loaf recipe you posted and am sharing it with my friend. Thank you! When I try it I will use ground beef. We don't have venison here. My husband is not a hunter and about the only wild game for hunting available is Oryx. Yup! You read right! In the 60's the State of NM imported some from S. Africa and they are thriving. They are mostly in the White Sands Natl. Monument area. That's a large region, though, and there are a bunch of Oryx. Different looking animals, too!

;D hahahahahaha LOL Hi April! The reason I laughed so hard is that I tend to use a ton of garlic, too, and my husband always tells me that I use too much, also! When he smells it cooking in a dish it smells kind of strong, but when he eats the dish it is just right! Tell your husband - and this is the truth! - that the longer garlic cooks, the milder it gets! No kidding! Good luck! Everyone in favor of garlic, raise your hands!!!!!!!!! Chris
