Hi Baking Bud, Well, I thought that maybe we should have this cyber party around Ground Hog's Day or St. Patty's Day. That would give us some time to "plan"!? My favorite of all is not a cake, but a Marie Callender's Razzleberry Pie! Yummy!!!!!! I love it!!!!!! However, for a cake, my favorite of all time is a flourless chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache and raspberry sauce on top of all. That is so decadent and wonderful! I will share that at our "party"! I do love roses, too. My husband always gets me red roses. Once he got me a beautiful Double Delight one. Oh my!!!! That is beautiful! It almost looks like a Peace Rose. So pretty and smells so nice! LOL hehehe How do you feel sampling all those wines? Kinda out of it some? Take care young lady! ;D How about the rest of you? Chris

Hello all!
Just wonderin' if any of you out there wanted to share and "have" a "birthday party" for all of us? We could share birthday cake recipes in the cake section, etc. Or, if not that, how about decorating in this section? Any other ideas? This could be fun!
Thanks, Robyn, for the idea with your cookie "get-together"!
Chris ;D
PS My birthday is Dec. 25th! no lie, either!

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NANCY!!!! « Reply #2 on Today at 2:07pm »
Sandi...Told you that I would get to you and here I am. Nancy was so helpful and I got registered so now I can go to the Patio whenever I want to. Don't you just love this newsletter? I have gotten so many good recipes from it. My passion is cooking for all the people that I love and that covers a bunch of folk. Sorry about the Grandson's injury and my sincere thanks to him for the sacrifice that he made for his country and all of us who love the US so much. My husband spent 20 years in the Coast Guard before having to take a medical retirement due to cancer at the age of 38. We lost him in 1976 and he is still so missed by everyone that ever knew him. Like I said though, God carries us through and He certainly has carried myself and my children through these years since he died. So nice to know more about you, your grandson and your family. I also have a great grandchild. He will be 4 on his next birthday which is coming up the end of this month. He is so cute and just full of energy. Such a blessing. Regards to your family and thanks for the lovely message. God Bless. Barbara in Corsicana bcookin New Member

Hello and welcome Lorie! I think you are looking for a cucumber sandwich. You can use cracker or party size bread as I do. Below is the link on this site under appetizers and the recipe I posted. Hope this is what you are looking for! Chris in NM whatscookin.proboards4.com/index.cgi?board=Appetizers&action=display&n=1&thread=22483Cucumber Sandwiches · 2 loaves party size rye bread · 1 8oz package cream cheese · 1 package Good Seasons dry Italian dressing mix · 2 or 3 medium cucumbers · dry dill weed Blend softened cream cheese and dressing mix. Spread on rye slices. Top with thin slices of cucumber, then sprinkle with dill. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Serve chilled. The bread absorbs the seasoning flavor if left refrigerated at least half a day. These are great and easy! My hubby's cousin introduced these to us several years ago. I make them occasionally, and sprinkle dill on top before I serve them. Several friends also began making these since I first introduced them in Alamogordo. You may use French or Italian bread instead of the party size bread. You could also sprinkle paprika on top instead of the dill.
