INGREDIENTS 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 cup chopped onion 1 large chopped green pepper, seedless 1 lb. ground beef 16 oz. canned whole tomatoes, drained and chopped 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 3 bananas, cut in 1-inch slices
In large skillet, heat oil; add onion and green pepper. Stir frequently, about 5 minutes, until vegetables are crisp-tender. Remove vegetables, set aside. In same skillet, brown meat, breaking up as it cooks. Add tomatoes, cinnamon, chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes. Return vegetables to meat mixtures, add bananas; mix gently. Cook 2 minutes or until heated through. To serve, garnish with corn chips. Yield: 4 SERVINGS
