5 - cups potatoes (cut in about 1 inch chunks) 1 - cup celery ( diced ) 1 - cup onion ( diced ) 1 - stick margarine 3 - heaping tablespoons chicken bullion granules 1/4 - teaspoon black pepper 1/2 - teaspoon salt 1 - quart half & half 2 - heaping tablespoons flour ( self- rising )
In a 5 quart sauce pan ,add potatoes , celery , onion , margarine , bullion granules , pepper , and salt . Cover with water, about 1 inch above the ingredients. Then cover and boil on med .heat for 25 min. .Remove lid . Stir the flour into the half & half . Add the half & half to the pot . Cook uncovered until it comes to a boil. Stir , turn the heat down to med. high , and cook until it thickens a little .Stir , It don't take long for it to thicken , about 5 or 10 min. Serve. Enjoy.
