Green and Gold Chowder 1 cup green split peas, rinsed 1 Tbs vegetable base 4 cups water 1 cup cream-style corn 1/4 cup chopped onion or 1 Tbs. instant chopped onion 1/2 cup fresh chopped cilantro 1 Combine peas, vegetable base, and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. 2 Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 45 minutes, or until peas are tender. 3 Stir in corn and onion and simmer another 10 minutes or until onions are tender. 4 Stir in the chopped cilantro just before serving Servings: 4
