This is for the person who wanted cooked egg nog. This is the only one I found. Chris in NM Classic Cooked Egg Nog The eggs are cooked in this wonderful egg nog! Stir in any extra flavoring or garnishes just before serving. Prep Time: approx. 15 Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 15 Minutes. Ready in: approx. 30 Minutes. Makes 12 servings. Printed from Allrecipes, Submitted by The California Egg Commission. 6 eggs 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional) 1 quart milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions: 1 In large saucepan, beat together eggs, sugar and salt(if desired); stir in 2 cups of the milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick enough to coat a metal spoon with a thin film and reaches at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Remove pan from heat. 2 Stir remaining 2 cups milk and vanilla extract into the mixture. Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled; several hours or overnight.
