Holiday Breakfast Casserole for family or guests. With the holidays coming up, many families will be having guests stay overnight. Don't forget the ease that these breakfast casseroles can play in easily feeding a houseful. Many variations I'm sure have been listed right on this list. Use your imagination and add whatever your family likes! 6 slices bread, no crusts 1/2 stick margarine 1-1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded 5 eggs, beaten well 2 cups half and half 1 pound hot sausage- cooked well done and drain on paper towels 1 teaspoon salt / pepper to taste Directions: Cook sausage and drain on paper towels well. Really blot off the grease! Melt margarine in 9x13-inch baking dish. Tear bread in pieces and sprinkle over margarine. Sprinkle drained sausage, over bread crumbs. Sprinkle cheese over sausage. Beat eggs with half and half and salt/pepper; pour over mixture. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Serves 6-8, depending on how hungry everyone is!
