Border Casserole
1 1/2 pounds ground beef 3 tablespoons salad oil 3/4 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minced 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder 2 teaspoons paprika 1/2 teaspoon oregano 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 2 1/2 cups tomato puree 3 cups cooked kidney beans 1 cup crushed corn chips 1/2 cup grated American cheese
Brown beef in salad oil, stirring with a fork, Add onion and garlic and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in chili powder, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, tomato puree, beans and corn chips.
Pour into baking dish, top with cheese and bake at 325 degrees for about 50 minutes.
