1 bag seasoned or regular tator tots (frozen) 1 1/2 lbs hamburger 1 small chopped onion (optional) 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup 2 cans cheddar cheese soup 1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder)
Dice onion and cook with hamburger until browned. Drain grease.
Mix hamburger, cream of mushroom (chicken) soup, and 1/2 can of the cheddar cheese soup together in a 9x13 baking pan.
Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the meat mixture. Top with frozen tator tots, using only what you need to cover the cheese.
Spread the remaining 1 and 1/2 cans cheddar cheese soup on top. Sprinkle with remaining shredded cheddar.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until heated through and cheese is slightly browned.
