This is a Basque recipe.
4 egg yolks 1/3 C. sugar 1/4 C. flour 2 C. milk Cinnamon 1 T. butter, softened Flour 1 egg, beaten Oil and butter (for frying) Confectioners' sugar
Beat the egg yolks and add sugar and flour a little at a time, beating with a wooden spoon until smooth. Add cinnamon to the milk and bring to a boil. Add the milk to the egg mixture while beating. Place the mixture in a saucepan with the tablespoon of butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens (about 10 minutes). Cool slightly, then pour into a buttered 8- or 9-inch square pan. Spread evenly and thinly, about 1/4 inch) and chill for several hours.
Remove from the refrigerator and cut into small squares. Dip lightly into flour and beaten egg, then fry quickly in hot vegetable oil and butter (about 40 seconds on each side). Drain; sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and serve.

Hi! THis sounds like a recipe called "Fried Milk" that I found on a web site - maybe AllRecipes.com. I tried it once and it was very good! Kind of like a more solid bread pudding. Have you tried it yet?

No Chris , I haven't tried it yet . But it does sound really good. I must try it . Maybe this week. It all depends on how many trips to the doctors and dentist appointments this week. I 'm trying to get the place back in order from the holidays and got company coming sometime this. my sister-in-law and husband coming for a visit from Minn. if you try it before me let me know how it tastes. Ok. Gotta go for now.
God Bless you this New Year and may you prosper in good health. Marilynn
