Makes 2 servings
1 2.25 oz. pkg. SLICED DRIED BEEF 1 T. butter margarine 1 T. CREAM Corn Starch (we always use flour instead, making a roux and adding the milk) 1 cup milk ¼ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Separate and rinse Sliced Dried Beef under warm water for 15 seconds. Cut beef into bite size pieces. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. In a separate bowl, combine milk and CREAM Corn Starch until smooth. Add milk mixture to saucepan and cook, stirring constantly over low heat until thickened. Simmer for two minutes, stirring constantly. Add Worcestershire sauce and ARMOUR® STAR Sliced Dried Beef. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately over toast, biscuits, English muffins, prepared rice, noodles or even pastry shells for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
