Fruit Cobbler
from a Bisquick cookbooklet
1 can (1 lb. or 3 c. fresh fruit, sweetened, and 3/4 c. water) 1 tbl. cornstarch 2 tvl. cold water 1 tbl. butter or margarine 1 c. Bisquick Original baking mix 1 tbl. sugar 1 tbl. margarine or butter, melted and cooled slightly 1/4 c. milk
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Heat fruit with sirup in saucepan. 2. Stir together cornstarch and water; stir into fruit. Heat to boiling; boil and stir 1 minute. Pour into 2 qt. casserole. Dot with 1 tbl. butter. Stir remaining ingredients with fork to soft dough. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto hot fruit. 3. Bake 20 minutes. Serve warm and with cream, if desired.
