Macaroni and Meat Pie
2 lb stew beef 1 Tbs. oil 1 onion, chopped 4 ribs of celery, chopped 2 tsp salt pepper 1 cup cooked macaroni 2 cups cooked, diced carrot 2 cups cooked peas 5 Tbs. flour Salt and Pepper to taste Biscuit dough to cover
Brown stew beef in oil. Add onions and celery and barely cover with water. Simmer for about 2 hours til meat is tender. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the biscuit dough, and thicken the gravy with the 5 Tbs. flour. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour into a casserole and top with biscuit dough. Bake at 425*F for about 15 minutes until browned. Chicken pie can be made in the same way.
