Crockpot - Apple Brown Betty
4 c. small bread cubes, cut in 1/2" cubes 1/2 c. melted butter 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar 4 c. chopped apples Mix the bread cubes with butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and brown sugar. Arrange the seasoned cubes in alternate layers with the apples in the crockpot/slow cooker. Cover. Cook on high for 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours or until the apples are tender. Serve warm with cream, hard sauce or ice cream. Makes 4 to 5 servings.
