3 c Dried navy beans 6 c Water 1 md Yellow onion; diced fine 1/2 c Brown sugar 1/2 c Maple-flavored syrup 1-1/3 Cups ketchup 2 tsp Dried mustard 2 tsp Vinegar 1 c Water 12 All-beef hot dogs; 1/2" -round slices
Directions: Wash the beans then soak them in 6 cups of water for 12 hours before cooking. Drain and wash the beans again. Combine the brown sugar, syrup, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, and onion in the slow cooker. Cook uncovered on HIGH until the brown sugar has dissolved; stir well. Add 1 cup water, beans, and hotdogs. Stir to cover the beans and hot dogs with sauce. Cook covered on LOW for 7 to 9 hours. One hour before serving, remove the cover and continue cooking on LOW.
