1 lb lean ground beef 1/4 lb pork sausage 1 egg 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/4 c finely chopped leek 1/3 c fine dry bread crumbs 2 T taco sauce 1/2 t salt 1/8 t ground black pepper 2 t chopped fresh basil 1 med zucchini, shredded 1 med carrot, shredded
In a large bowl combine beef, sausage, egg, leek, bread crumbs, taco sauce, salt, pepper, basil, zucchini, and carrot. Forn into a 5 1/2" flattened round loaf. Place loaf on a trivet in a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low about 4 hours or until done. Remove loaf and cut into 6 wedges; spoon cooking juices over each serving. Makes 6 servings
