Many, many years ago I had a "Mennonite" overnight cinnamon roll recipe, which I've just found out is lost somewhere! Does anyone have it. After you'd done the first raise when you came home from work, and then made the cinnamon rolls, they sat on the counter all night and you baked them in the morning. It was so good and easy. Help

try this recipe for tast and ease of baking hope you like it. 4 c water 1 1/2 c sugar 1 c cooking oil 4 eggs, well beaten 1 Tbls. salt 1 pkg dry yeast 1/4 c warm water 12-14 c all purpose flour
Mix dough between 2:00-5:00 pm. Combine 4 c water and sugar. Boil 4 minutes. Set aside to cool till lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 c warm water, set aside. Beat eggs well. Add cooking oil, salt and dissolved yeast. Add sugar and water mixture. Beat until smooth. Gradually add flour until mixture is ready to knead. Knead well on a floured board. Place dough into a large greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place several hours. Punch down. Cover and let rise till double in size. Form rolls and place in greased 13x9" pans. Cover and let rise on countertop overnight. In morning, bake in 350°F oven for 20-25 min. Makes 3-4 9x13" pans, 15-20 rolls each.
