Was just sending this link to my friend who is having trouble with his two dogs who DO NOT want to get their feet wet during the rain. They go through the house, into the connecting garage that has a doggy door, and decide THAT is where they shall 'answer the call of nature'. It has been driving my friend batty cleaning it up, and then I found this site. >> www.patiopark.com/I cannot imagine what it must be like to have to walk a dog in the snow, or leave a warm apartment to go down 5 floors to the outside COLD for them to do their business at 6 AM or late at night! This truly for anyone who is experiencing a problem like this or even worries about their pets at home while they are at work needing to go, could be a great answer! I saw that they are even making potty boxes for dogs now, but I'm sure my puppy would eat the shavings they use in those boxes (as he eats EVERYTHING) he can get his mouth onto! I also saw on a show that an apartment owner built his own mini grassland for his dog to go out on his balcony. Built a rectangle box, lined it with plastic, filled it with dirt and planted that pre-grown grass that makes an instant lawn. He just said that you have to water and treat it like any grass lawn, use a pooper scooper, and occasionally he has to replace the grass depending on the elements outside. Hope this helps someone who lives in those COLD and SNOWY areas. Even for older pets, the rain is miserable for them to slip and slide in. This could be the answer to both humans and pets prayers. Happy Holidays Again, Baking Bud
