If you are low carbing or just like cream cheese in anything, this is a nice little fruity treat... No real recipe, as it is one of those that depends on your taste.
Wash your strawberries, and let dry on paper towels.
Next, just combine depending on how many strawberries you want to fill an appropriate amount of cream cheese, ie. 1- 3oz., 2- 3oz., or 8 oz. for a parties needs.
To this add sugar replacement such as splenda, and a drop or two of almond flavoring... Mix and taste till it is sweet enough to YOUR taste. (I think each pkt. is equivalent to 2 tsp. of sugar.)
Take your strawberries and gently cut down the center half way, then hold the berry together and turn so that you can cut down the other sides halfway. Gently open the berry to accept a dollop of the cream cheese mixture.
Put the above cream cheese mixture into a pastry bag with a nice flower tip on it. Pipe one pretty flower into the center of each strawberry.
These are SO TASTY when on a low carb diet, and keeps you right on the plan... Other non lowcarbers appreciate the good taste too! Splenda doesn't have any weird after bite like some artificial sweeteners do!
Hope you enjoy. Will post this also on the diet bb, but for ALL cream cheese lovers this is a winner!
Always My Best, Baking Bud
