1 large juicy orange 12-oz. bag fresh cranberries 12 packets Equal or similar aspartame sweetener 1 to 3 T. orange liqueur or brandy, to taste Grate the rind from the orange and throw it into the food processor. Peel and section the orange over a bowl, removing the pith, membranes and seeds, and add the orange flesh and the juice that's collected in the bowl to the food processor. Add the remaining ingredients to the processor and whirl till finely chopped but not pulverized. Refrigerate for at least a day before serving.
Note: Immediately after blending, this mixture will not look appetizing, because the white insides of the cranberries will give it a raw look. By the next day, however, the colors will have bled together into a beautiful garnet shade, and the flavors will also have combined nicely.
