An old friend of mine used to make a jelly out of cooked green tomatoes and flavored jello. You couldn't tell the strawberry wasn't real strawberry. As far as I knew it was just green tomatoes and flavored jello. And he stored it by sealing jars with wax. I would like to try it with sugar free. Has anyone heard of this and have a recipe. Thanx Walt

I used to make this all the time........ The sugar free Jello probably wouldn't make a difference because the recipe calls for lots of sugar.....
GREEN TOMATO JELLY 5 c. green tomatoes, cut into sm. pieces 4 c. sugar 1 (6 oz.) pkg. any flavor Jello
Boil tomatoes and sugar together for 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Add Jello and stir well. Cool and put into a blender or food processor. Blend well. Pour into jars and seal with parafin wax.

Hi, I thought I'd try this using sweetner instead of sugar and see what happens. I'll let anybody know that is interested! Thanks Cyndi
