Country Steak with Gravy 1 1/2 pounds boneless top round steak (1/2" thick) 1 (12-ounce) jar fat-free savory beef gravy (such as Heinz) 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (I use fresh garlic) 1/2 teaspoon pepper (or to your taste) 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme Cooking spray Trim fat from steak; cut steak into 6 equal pieces. Combine gravy and next 5 ingredients in a small bowl; stir well. Layer gravy mixture and steak in a 4-quart slow cooker coated with cooking spray, beginning and ending with gravy mixture. Cover with lid; cook on high-heat setting 1 hour. Reduce to low-setting, and cook 6 to 7 hours or until steak is tender.
