False Cabbage Rolls Submitted By: CarolynT from www.allrecipes.comThis dish is based on classic cabbage roll recipes, but is made with much less effort. Browned ground beef, onion and sliced cabbage are simmered in tomato soup; sour cream is stirred into the dish just before serving. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes or pasta. Prep Time: 10 Minutes Cook Time: 30 Minutes Ready In: 40 Minutes Makes: 6 servings Ingredients: 1 pound lean ground beef 1 onion, sliced 1 medium head cabbage, sliced 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup salt to taste ground black pepper to taste 1/2 cup sour cream Directions : 1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onion; drain fat. 2. Stir in sliced cabbage, tomato soup, tomato soup can of water,salt and pepper. Cover and simmer until cabbage is tender; stirring occasionally. Stir in sour cream just before serving.
