Summertime is a great time to get out of the kitchen and cook on the grill. But if having the same old burgers is getting old quick, here are some ideas to liven up your BBQ.
A great way to spice up your burgers is to do just that: add some spice. Seasoning packets such as taco mix, ranch dressing mix and dry onion soup mix can give your burgers great flavor. Add one of the above seasonings to your ground beef before making your hamburger patties.
Another great idea is to make stuffed burger. Just take a hamburger patty and top it with the filing of your choice. Then place another patty on top and seal the edges. When cooking stuffed burger it is important to cook them on lower temperatures for a longer times to avoid the outside burning while the inside stays raw. My favorite filling for stuffed burgers are grated cheddar cheese, pickles slices and chopped onions. You can also make pizza burger by filling the burgers with mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce and pepperoni. Swiss cheese and mushroom also make great filling. Add a new twist to the bacon cheeseburger by stuffing your burgers with bacon bits or cooked pieces of bacon, diced tomato and shredded cheese.
Different toppings and add variety to your hamburger as well. Experiment with different cheeses, or try basting your burgers with BBQ sauce, steak sauce or pizza sauce.
Burger don't have to be boring, with just a little creativity you can a delicious and extra special BBQ
